Small Yurt

FOR 2025 WE PLAN TO MOVE OUR SMALL YURT TO A NEW LOCATION ON SITE –

WE WILL OPEN BOOKING SOON!

Our smallest yurt is in a magical location for a romantic glamping break in Snowdonia National Park, North Wales. The yurt for two is hand-crafted from our own woodland and nestled by ancient Welsh oak trees.  Just open the door from this exceptional location for stunning Mawddach Estuary views. Relax on the deck in the evenings around a camp fire with your glass of wine.

Private and tranquil, the yurt for two is super cosy with a pull out double futon bed, rugs, sheepskins, Welsh blankets and the wood burning stove. Outside you can enjoy the wonderful Snowdonia scenery of the hills and ancient woodland.  The campfire outside makes the perfect spot for star gazing by night.

The yurt is off grid, so there is simple solar lighting and we provide you with a lantern – we are in Snowdonia National Park Dark Skies Reserve so you’ll need it to find your way to the loo at night! There is access to a fridge/freezer as well as the coolbox in the yurt.

Inside the yurt, there’s a 2 ring camping gas cooker and a full range of cooking utensils.  For those who prefer to eat out, we can recommend lots of good places nearby. There’s space for one car to park near the yurt and we welcome well behaved dogs.

Staying Connected

For those who don’t want to switch off completely, we are happy to recharge battery packs (but not phones) for you in reception.  There is also a phone charging point on the camp site. 4G coverage is good (unless you are on 02), and there is also a free wifi point.

Loo and Shower

There are conventional loos with wash basins and hot water, and hot showers about 100 metres away shared with the rest of the camp site. There are electric sockets for you to bring a hairdryer here. There’s also a private solar shower by the small yurt if you’re feeling adventurous! Bring your swimming costume!

What to bring

We provide you with a full list of what we provide and tips about what to bring when you book. We ask that you bring your own bedding and towels, although if you are unable to bring these because you are travelling by public transport etc, bedding can be booked as an extra in advance.

Checking glamping availability

You can check availability for glamping and book online. You can book short breaks from Friday to Monday or Monday to Friday so you will need to search for availability to arrive on a Friday to stay for 3 nights or Monday to stay for 4 nights. We are sorry we do not offer one night stays, but can sometimes offer last minute 2 night stays outside of peak season.

Prior to your arrival you will be emailed a link to download our new Guest Welcome Guide. This works like an app and will enable you to self-check in and gives you all the information you need to plan your stay, from what to bring and the wifi code to the best places for coffee and cake, local walks etc.

“Stunning yurt in a beautiful, tranquil and secluded glade. All the utensils you could possibly need to cook yourself a meal on the camp stove, a lovely fire pit and comfortable chairs outside. Fantastic fire burning stove that gets the yurt toasty warm and a comfortable sofa bed. Toilets and showers fairly close to the yurt. Location of this place is amazing – right on the mawddach estuary and well placed for our visits to cadair idris, Harlech, Barmouth, port meirion and zip world. By far the best location and ‘feel’ to any camp site we’ve been to (and we have been to a lot). Thank you to all for a lovely stay. Would not hesitate to recommend.”
