Small Yurt
NEW FOR 2025
WE PLAN TO MOVE OUR SMALL YURT TO A DIFFERENT SUPER SECLUDED LOCATION ON SITE
WE WILL OPEN BOOKING SOON – WATCH THIS SPACE OR PLEASE GET IN TOUCH!
New for 2025, the yurt for two is moving to a super secluded location, ideal for an off grid glamping break for nature lovers in Eryri/Snowdonia National Park, North Wales.
We will have photos of the yurt in its new location in May. Photos show the yurt in its old location and the bell tent photos are of the new location.
Our smallest yurt is cosy for a couple, with a double futon bed, wood burning stove and kitchenette inside. The new location is hidden away in a remote corner of our tent camping fields, surrounded by ancient meadow and woodland. The yurt for two was hand-crafted from nearby ash trees 17 years ago – so in a way it’s returning to its roots…
In spring, the birdsong here is incredible. In summer, look out for butterflies around the meadow- the yurt enjoys plenty of morning and afternoon sun. Watch the clouds move across the sky…
At night, sit around the camp fire – the perfect spot for star gazing and listening to the tawny owls.
Your nearest neighbours will be one tent pitch about 50 metres away.
Car-free location
This is a truly off grid experience. You will need to be prepared to walk around 500 metres to the yurt across fields from the car park – the yurt is not accessible by car. You should be able to travel light as everything is provided except towels and sheets for the pillows and duvets – but you can pre-book bed linen for an additional charge.
Wheelbarrows are provided or we try and offer a lift service with our off road vehicle to those arriving with a lot of kit between 2 and 4pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
The small yurt is ideal for those arriving by public transport.
Shower and loo
There is an excellent hot shower and clean compost loo within 150 metres – both shared with a few other campers. Those looking for an electric socket for hairdryers etc can also use the showers and wash block up the hill on the camper van area of the site.
What’s provided
– double futon bed with duvet and 2 pillows – please bring your own double duvet cover, pillow cases and under sheet or pre-book a pack from us.
– basket of logs to get you going for the woodburner or camp fire – more for sale on site.
– 2 ring camping gas cooker and a full range of cooking pots and pans, plates, cutlery etc. A cool box and access to ice packs.
The yurt is off grid and lit by solar lights. There is a charging point for battery packs / phones) in a communal shelter up the hill on the camper van part of the site. You can use free wifi in this shelter, although there is 4G at the yurt or some networks point for those who can’t switch off completely! (Not for 02 users though…)
Prior to your arrival you will be emailed a link to download our Guest Welcome Guide. This works like an app and will enable you to self-check in and gives you all the information you need to plan your stay, from what to bring and the wifi code to the best places for coffee and cake, local walks etc.
Latest Check in
We do not accept new arrivals to our most secluded yurts after dark as you will not find them! Latest check in usually 6.45pm unless agreed in advance otherwise.
If you’re looking for accommodation with a later check in time please look at our Quarry Wagons or Glamping in the Glade which have car access.

Glade Glamping Holidays in North Wales
Incredibly beautiful and remote location (definitely organise a lift with your stuff down the hill). Easy start to lots of walks direct from the camp site. Amazing guidebook provided on booking with all the info you could need. And the loveliest campsite shower I have ever been in!
