At the weekend we had a visit from our friends Alice and Alex, what better excuse to take the afternoon of to walk up Cadair Idris. We get a lot of visitors who stay with us and aim to tackle Snowdon, we sometimes wonder why they dont set their heights a little lower and walk up and down the mountain thats on our door step. There is not much of a drive to get to the car parks, there is a parking space when you get there which doesn’t break the bank. If you are after a bit of wilderness that you dont have to share with hundreds of others it ticks that box too. We went up the Minfford path to the summit and back down to the Pony path, ending up at the Gwernon for a well earned pint.
