Dolgellau boutique wines and deli treats
We’re lucky that just around the corner from our holiday cottage in Dolgellau, you will find Gwin Dylanwad – a popular boutique wine store / deli where you can try wine by the glass
Run by Dylan and Llinos and their knowledgeable team, you can pop in during the day for a coffee or wine by the glass. They specialise in fair prices from family producers. Pick up a great value bottle of wine or choose from a large range of award-winning Welsh gins. They also sell snacks from Welsh cheeses, crackers and chocolates to delicious deli treats from further afield such as Catalan smoked almonds and olives.
Expert recommendations
Dylan is a wine expert who regular appears on Welsh media talking about the wines he imports from small family run vineyards in both Wales and Europe (it’s a tough job….).
His wife Llinos comes from a tradition of local farming families – you can see her passion for promoting Welsh produce in this video.

Flanked by four mountains: Cader Idris, Arran Fawddwy, Rhobell and Diffwys before the valley opens up to the beautiful Mawddach estuary, the stone town of Dolgellau is situated at the southern tip of Eryri National Park. Steeped in the Welsh language and culture, we couldn’t possibly live anywhere else and have run a business here since 1988.
