Here in Gwynedd in Snowdonia National Park, we are not subject to any local lockdown restrictions as of 4 October 2020. Although there are currently local lockdown restrictions in Conwy, Flintshire, Wrexham and Denbighshire, you can drive through these counties to reach Gwynedd, although you should only stop en route in these counties for essentials such as fuel. There are plenty of places open as normal in Gwynedd including large areas of Snowdonia National Park.
Visitors who do not live in areas subject to local lockdown restrictions are welcome to holiday here at Graig Wen responsibly. You can watch the First Minister of Wales talk about this – see link to interview at the end of this post.
If you have a holiday booked with us we urge you to use your common sense and plan your visit carefully. Please read the details in the digital welcome guide/app we emailed when you booked. Please pre-book your visits to attractions or places to eat out wherever possible. Our local pubs, restaurants and attractions are adapting brilliantly with new measures to welcome you safely. We, and they, hugely value your support.
A reminder that:
- Pubs and restaurants stop serving alcohol at 10pm and are operating table service only
- Face coverings must be worn indoor in all public places including entering or leaving our B & B accommodation
- People in Wales can only meet socially indoors with people they live with (your household) and members of an exclusive extended household (known as a bubble). Meetings or gatherings indoors are limited to six people from the same extended household, not including any children under 11.
We are committed to protecting our local communities, team and other guests and we can ask people due to visit us from areas with local lockdown restrictions to postpone their bookings. Please think carefully about your situation and email us if you need to discuss your booking. We will be happy to help and guests booked under our Coronavirus Guarantee can postpone their bookings and not lose any money paid.
We have achieved the Visit Wales industry standard accreditation for our B & B, cottages, camping and glamping accommodation “We’re Good to Go”. This shows we are using best practice in terms of COVID-secure measures. Our guests have been fantastic this summer in helping us with our social distancing and hygiene measures. Let’s keep working together to keep everyone safe.
