We close on Friday 23rd October until Monday 9th November for the Welsh lockdown. As the sun sets on a shortened season at Graig Wen, we want to say a heartfelt THANK YOU to the many people who have supported us this year.
Huge thanks to the many of you who chose to stay with us, visiting Snowdonia responsibly and respecting our special landscape and local communities. Your support and positive feedback have been massively appreciated by our team and other small businesses in Dolgellau, Fairbourne, Barmouth and the surrounding area. We hope Snowdonia lifted your spirits.
“Our umpteenth stay at Graig Wen arriving stressed and tired, coming away chillaxed and totally rejuvenated.”
To all the local pubs, restaurants, shops and attractions who have welcomed, entertained and looked after our guests – diolch yn fawr. We know how hard you work!
John and Sarah have been especially touched by the many guests who chose to return this strange season, even if you had not been in a while. It’s been great to see friendly faces – thank you for putting your trust in us. Our team of Spence, Julie, Mari, Becky and the kids and, of course, Mr Fix It Phil, have made a great effort to adapt to new processes as we went from 0 to 90 mph coming out of lockdown into peak season. The team have all been amazing and we are so grateful.
a return trip to Graig Wen
“This was our fourth stay to a favourite site where we always receive a warm welcome….The adjusted facility arrangements for Covid worked well…it all felt very safe and clean (as always). A gem of a place.”
Relaxing Stay
“Stayed for 3 nights in the B&B in September. It had just reopened due to Covid but they had put lots of safety measures in place, so all good.
We were sent lots of info beforehand and the app was really helpful – we used it to plan restaurants and days out….We had a really relaxing stay and would happily return.”
We feel for all of you whose bookings have been postponed, sometimes more than once – we really value your support and we look forward to giving you a warm welcome next year.
Looking ahead
We were sadly unable to accommodate many people this summer due to high demand and reduced numbers of pitches/B&B rooms. 2021 will see us continue to give you plenty of social distancing space by operating at reduced capacity, and we would strongly advise early booking. Next year’s diary is already looking busy with bookings that have had to be rescheduled. Lovely customers have also been booking for next year as they leave. You can book under our flexible Coronavirus Guarantee so early booking is highly recommended!
Graig Wen will re-open on 9 November and look forward to welcoming guests over the festive season. We will be busy looking after Graig Wen over the winter and hope to have a couple of new surprises in store for next year – watch this space!
