It’s easy to spend your time at Graig Wen looking at the big views. But it’s also worth seeking out some of the secret corners of our site.
This evening on my wander along the valley with the dogs I found clusters of yellow king cups on the river bank. Bluebells are just making their misty haze in shady nooks and crannies. Wild garlic is carpeting the woodland with glossy green leaves and white spikes of flowers.
There are lots of interesting recipes for cooking with wild garlic – or Ramson – leaves. I’m told fish wrapped and BBQed in the leaves is good – easy enough to do if you’re camping. You can find some more recipe ideas here. There’s plenty growing at Graig Wen so why not see if you can find some if you’re staying here over the next week or two and cook up a feast?
